ADS Commences Centenary Celebration, Urges Muslims to Uphold Islamic Principles

The National President, Ansar- UD-Deen Society of Nigeria, ADS, Aare Abdur-Rafiu Sanni, has appealed to Muslims to renew their commitment to upholding the values and principles of Islam.

Aare Sanni stated this in Ibadan, while addressing newsmen as part of activities lined up to mark the ADS centenary celebration.

Represented by the ADS National Vice President, Alhaji Abdulwaheed Ajao, Aare Sanni, called on Muslims to eradicate all forms of evils that have crept or are likely to creep into the Islamic religion.

Aare Sanni said the centenary celebration started about two months ago at the National level, to showcase the Society’s achievements and testament to the lasting impact it has on communities across the globe.

 He said the society would always keep a tab on government officials to ensure they lead with the fear of God and to provide relief for the downtrodden in society.

Earlier, ADS Oyo State Council Chairman, Alhaji Hazeez Ladejo, in his welcome address, appreciated Allah for sparing their lives to witness 100 years celebration of ADS establishment.

“100 years after the establishment of ADS, Alhaji Ladejo reminisced on how far the society has gone in the accomplishments of entrenching moral and ethics in the society, especially the teachings of Islam”.

Dignitaries present at the press conference were, ADS Missioner Oyo State Council, Alhaji Bashir Elesinmeta, ADS Treasurer Oyo State, Alhaji Yusuf Gbadamosi and ADS Oyo State Secretary, Alhaji Teslim Adediran and other members of the State Executive.
