All is set for the grand finale of the 30th anniversary celebration of the Ansar-Ud-Deen Society of Nigeria, ADS, Eleyele Branch, Ibadan, Oyo State.
The Chairman of the Anniversary Planning Committee, Alhaji Sulaiman Balogun, made this known while addressing newsmen in Ibadan on the activities lined down for the celebration.
Alhaji Balogun explained that the anniversary programme, which commenced on Monday, will continue tomorrow with a Jumat service, while the grand finale is scheduled to hold on Sunday.
He stated that the grand finale event will feature a special fidau prayer for deceased members of the branch as well as award presentation to distinguished personalities, to include an All Progressives Congress governorship aspirant in Oyo State, Barrister Akeem Agbaje, Professor Abdulrasheed Awodoyin, and Alhaji Mumin Ajala.
Earlier, the Branch Chairman, Engineer Ismail Olatinwo, expressed gratitude to Almighty Allah for his protection over the years and for granting members the grace to witness the 30th anniversary of the branch.
Engineer Olatinwo also appreciated the founding fathers and members of the society for their support, while calling for continued commitment and prayers for the growth of the branch.
Present at the event include a founding member of the branch, Alhaja Sherifat Ogunyemi, former ADS National Vice President, Alhaji Waheed Ajao, Branch Secretary, Mr Jeleel Omoloye, and the anniversary committee secretary, Mr Abdulwaheed Yakub.
