As the world observes this year’s International Women’s Day, Ibadan-based legal expert Barrister Akeem Agbaje has once again emphasized the crucial role women play as nation builders and drivers of sustainable development.

The prominent All Progressives Congress (APC) stalwart in Oyo State described women as the key architects of family cohesion and societal unity, highlighting their indispensable role in a nation’s growth and progress.

Reflecting on the theme of this year’s International Women’s Day, “For All Women and Girls: Rights, Equity, Empowerment” Agbaje, a former APC Oyo State governorship aspirant in both 2019 and 2023, joined the global community in celebrating the unwavering commitment and socio-economic contributions of women to society.

In a statement from his media unit, Barrister Agbaje, widely known as “ADEHUN” by his professional and political associates, stressed that women, in their roles as wives, mothers, and leaders, should be celebrated every day. He praised their outstanding leadership and resource management, beginning at the family level.

Barrister Agbaje expressed his appreciation for women worldwide, particularly in Oyo State and Nigeria, for their resilience and transformative impact, despite the numerous challenges they face both at home and in society.
