A former General Manager of Broadcasting Corporation of Oyo State, BCOS, Mr Peter Ajayi, says the proliferation of media houses has enhanced professionalism in the media industry.
Mr Ajayi made this known while featuring on Pensioners FM elderly programme which profiles the past life of the elderly, “The Grey Hair.”
According to Mr Ajayi, contrary to the popular opinion that the proliferation of media houses has given rise to unprofessionalism and quackery, it has rather increased professionalism amongst journalists due to competition.
The former General manager, also advised media owners to provide a conducive environment for their employees to thrive, saying this in turn will enable growth in all aspects of the organisation.
