The Senator representing Oyo Central Senatorial District at the National Assembly, Dr. Yunus Akintunde has been commended for his life touching performances as he flagged of new projects, commissioned new ones and hosted a Mega Empowerment program for his constituents in Oyo town yesterday.
This is contained in a statement by his Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Hon. Kunle Olatunji.
According to the statement, the flag off of Aroro Makinde road at Akinyele Local Government on erosion control and road rehabilitation, the flag off of another road, the commissioning of a multimillion Naira health center both in Oyo West and the distribution of various items including sewing machines, automobile mechanic equipment, grinding machines, farmers sprayers and several bags of fertilizer at the Federal School of Surveying during a Mega Empowerment program were parts of the epoch making events.
The commissioning of a first class 20 bed primary health care centre was under the auspices of the office of Mrs Adejoke Orelope Adefulire, Special Assistant to the President on Sustainable Development Goals SDG, while the various other projects were in collaborative efforts of Senator Akintunde with several Federal Government MDAs.
Party Leaders, clerics, traditional rulers and eminent personalities including Alahaji Laide Abass Chairman of Oyo State APC, Hon Akeem Adeyemi a serving member of House of Representatives, Alhaji Fatai Ibikunle, Bishop Ayo Ladigbolu and several other eminent personalities present at the events took turn to express appreciation and commendation on the quality representation and leadership provided by Senator Yunus Akintunde especially on legislative functions, impactful projects and human capacity development.
Senator Akintunde was thankful to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for providing the platform for him to achieve so much this far just within the last sixteen months after his inauguration at the Senate.
