The Eid Kabir festival has been described as a time when family members come together in worship, reflection and excitement.
The Alabidun Muslim Community, New Airport, Ibadan made this known in an Eid el Kabir message jointly signed by the body’s Amir, Alhaji AbdulRahaman Yusuff – Ojasope and Secretary, Mr. Kazeem Rafiu in Ibadan, the Muslim Community reiterated that Eid Celebration is a time when parents gathered every possible and acceptable momentum in making their children, wards and family members happy no matter the condition or the atmosphere of the country.
AMCI further added that the period is also a season of sober reflection, when the less privileged give all glory to their Creator for at least being alive to witness another feast of the year.
The statement further read, “the wise ones among the wealthy or rich people spread their hands of mercy to those in need in their domains, in order for them to feel the greatness of their Creator.”
“With this, it is permissible for everyone who Allah gave the opportunity to get the sacrificial animal(s) i.e. the acceptable ones, to share it into three; for the family, the less privileged and for the following days, as it is not good to become a beggar after the fiesta.
AMCI therefore urged Muslim faithful to pray for the nation’s leaders, that Allah would guide them in making right decisions for the betterment of all citizens.
