Two public affairs analysts say the purpose of creating Local Government Development Areas, LCDAs may not be achieved if the Constitution is not reviewed.
The Analysts, Mr Adesumbo Badejoko and Mr Ayodeji Ajisope made this known while featuring on Pensioners FM Current Affairs programme, Voice of Liberation.
This was in reaction to a court verdict, which declared the LCDAs creation signed into law by former Ondo State Governor, late Oluwarotimi Akeredolu as unconstitutional and illegal.

According to Mr Badejoko and Mr Ajisope, LCDAs have no political portfolio during election, hence, defeating their purpose of creation.

Speaking further, Mr Badejoko and Mr Ajisope urged the federal government to empower State Independent Electoral Commission, SIEC to conduct state and local government elections, in order to decentralise the power of the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, to achieve true federalism.
