The Baale of Apena Town and its environs, Alhaji Lateef Adegoke has called on Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde to approve the rehabilitation of dilapidated roads at Wire and Cable down to NIHORT, in Ido Local government for easy transportation.
Alhaji Adegoke made the call at the decoration of twenty elevated Traditional and Honourary Chiefs of Apena Town and its environs, held at Owode Apata, Ibadan, Oyo State Capital.
According to him, the roads have been in bad conditions for years and reducing the economic value of the town.
Speaking on the newly promoted chiefs, The Baale congratulated them and sought their support towards the progress of the Apena Town.
On their part, some of the promoted chiefs lauded Alhaji Adegoke for his role in their promotions and reiterated their commitment to the growth of the town.
They therefore seek for the cooperation of residents of the Apena Town and its environs.
The promoted Chief include, Chief Ganiyu Ayodele as Otun baale, Chief Rafiu Animasahun as Osi Baale, Chief Michael Suara as Ekerin Baale, Chief Ganiyu Ayoade as Ekefa Baale, Chief Kaseem Oluokun as Agbaakin Baale, Chief Morufu Adekunle as Aare Alasa Baale, Chief Ayuba Gbadamosi as Balogun, Chief Akinyemi Olatunde as Otun Balogun, Chief Muhammed Adewuyi as Ekarun Balogun, Chief Adegbayi Rahmoni as Maye Balogun, Chief Lukman Alayande as Abese Balogun, and Chief Nuraini Akinyemi as Asiwaju.
Others include Chief Bashiru Adesokan as Oluwo, Chief Sadia Adeniji as Iyalode, Chief Romoke Soyooye as Otun Iyalode, Chief Mariam Adeleke as Osi Iyalode, Chief Dauda Adediran as Bobajiroro, Chief Saka agboluaje as Mayegun, Chief Ramoni Oluokun as Bobogunwa and Chief Mukaila Onifade as Babakekere
Highlights of the event were decoration of the promoted chiefs with beads and leaves.
Dignitaries present were President General, Central Council of Ibadan Indigene, Chief Sulaimon Ajewole, Laguna Balogun of Ibadanland, Chief Nureni Akanbi and other high chiefs in Ibadan.
