The former Commissioner for Health in Oyo State, Dr. Bode Oladipo, has advised Nigerians, particularly retired civil servants, to be mindful of factors that could lead to stress.

Dr. Oladipo gave the advice while speaking at the first general meeting of the year of Association of Retired Heads of Service and Permanent Secretaries of Oyo and Osun States (ARHPSOOS), hosted by Dr Theresa Olaitan, held at the Pensioners’ House, Agbarigo, Onireke Ibadan.

Speaking on the theme “Stress”, Dr. Oladipo highlighted financial instability, poor health habits and social isolation as key factors that could lead to stress in the life of a retiree.
Dr. Oladipo urged retirees to adopt a stress-free lifestyle by making informed decisions, staying physically active, and seeking necessary support when needed.
In an opening remark, the Chairman of ARHPSOOS, Chief Adebisi Adesola, commended members for their contributions in making the previous year productive and asked for continuous support.

Chief Adesola noted that the focus of ARHPSOOS for this year is to kick start the construction of the association secretariat building and better welfare for members.
