A centenarian, Chief Rachel Olatunde Adeniji, popularly known “It’s Eggs” will on Sunday, celebrate her 100th birthday at Ebenezer African Church Cathedral Hall, Anfani Road, Ring Road, Ibadan, Oyo State.
Relatives, church members and well-wishers are expected to honour the woman, who has been described as a symbol of faith, resilience and good health.
Through the grace of God Mama Adeniji has never been admitted to a hospital all her life.
According to a statement by a Veteran Broadcast – Journalist, who is a close friend of the family,Pastor Kayode Akinsola, Iya Egba built a career in textile and jewellery trading and in 1948, married Chief E.O. Adeniji.
The marriage was blessed with five children.
The statement added that as a devoted member of Ebenezer African Church Cathedral, she served in many capacities and in 2014, she was installed as Iya Isale Ijo of the cathedral in recognition of her decades of service.
The ceremony is scheduled for 2 o clock in the afternoon.
