Christians have been urged to put their trust in God and obey his commandments, to be able to overcome the challenges of life.
This was the sermon at the 20th Anniversary of Christ Followers’ Society, CFS, All Saints’ Anglican Church, Owode Estate, Ibadan.
The guest Preacher, Venerable Yemi Jesulola, who made this known during his sermon, called on Christians not to allow the present situation confronting the nation draw them away from the presence of God.
Venerable Jesulola, who is also the Vicar-in-Charge of Saint Paul Anglican Church, Odo-Ona, also congratulated members of the CFS and advised them to ensure that the society is represented in all matters relating to the progress of the church.
On his part, CFS President, Comrade Banji Kolesho, who spoke on behalf on his members, appreciated God for sparing their lives to witness the anniversary.
Comrade Kolesho advised societies in the church to always support God’s working.
Christ Followers Society, CFS was formally inaugurated on the 18th of August, 2002 with the aim to promote fellowship among its members, their families and other societies in the church and indeed, Christ’s body.
