Community policing can reduce insecurity- Olubadan

His Imperial Majesty Oba  Rasidi Ladoja has once again advocated for Community policing, saying that it would reduce criminal activities not only in Ibadanland but in Nigeria as a whole

The statement was contained in the press release issued and signed by Chief Ayoade Solomon Olugbemiga, the Chief Press Secretary to Olubadan of Ibadanland during the Luncheon organized by Olubadan palace in honour of the participants of the Executive Intelligence Management Course (EIMC) 19, 2026 of the Institute for Security Studies (NISS) from Bwari, Abuja at the Banquet Hall, Olubadan palace, Oke Aremo, Ibadan on Thursday

According to His Imperial Majesty, if Community policing is put in place,it would help in no small measure to eradicate crimes or at least reduce it to the bearest minimum

The Monarch disclosed that the luncheon was organized to appreciate and interact with the participants on a week study tour of Oyo State and share their experiences during Study Tour which is expected to show case Oyo State as a pace-setter and it’s potentials

The Monarch revealed that several successful Nigerians passed through Ibadan city, he called upon such people not to forget Ibadan but instead come round to contribute their quotas for the unity, progress and development of Ibadanland

In her speech of appreciation,the leader of the team who is also the Director of Studies Mrs Ibrahim Halimah Zanna commended the Olubadan of Ibadanland and members of his council for warm reception accorded them since their arrival to Oyo State which symbolizes the hospitality and accommodating nature of Ibadanland

She prayed God to endow Oba Ladoja sound health, wisdom, peaceful reign and longevity of life in the service of God and humanity

Gracing the occasion were Balogun of Ibadanland, Oba (Barr ) Tajudeen Abimbola Ajibola, the Otun Balogun of Ibadanland, Oba (Dr) Kolawole Adegbola, Osi Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Abiodun Kola Daisi, Ekerin Balogun of Ibadanland, Oba Akeem Mobolaji Adewoyin, Iyalode Line was represented by Oloye Taye Soyege,  Olori Onikepo Akande,   Oloye Yetunde Durosaro,  Oloye Nike Akande,   Oloye Mojisola Ladipo Mni, Oloye  Basirat Ajibola

Other Dignitaries in attendance were Olori (Barr) Rasidat Olayinka Ladoja, current Pesident General Central Council of Ibadan Indigenes (CCII ) Chief Ajeniyi Ajewole, former CCII president Chief Mustapha Bayo Oyero, Aare Musulumi of Yorubaland, Edo, and Delta States Alhaji Dawud Makanjuola Akinola, Chief Taju Aremu , representatives of the heads of law enforcement agencies in Oyo State such as Oyo State Police Commissioner, Commandant of NSCDC, Amotekun,Mogajis , Baales, other traditional title holders
