A Utility Consumers Rights Advocate, Mr Akinbodunse Shadrack, says Oyo State needs adequate power supply for optimal economic development.
Mr Shadrack made this known while featuring on ‘Isejoba rere’ a development agenda weekly programme of JDPC, Ibadan with the support of Meserior on Pensioners’ FM.
According to Mr Shadrack, a state without power supply cannot grow, saying lack of visionary leaders have affected adequate electricity supply in Oyo state.
Mr Shadrack also noted that adequate supply of electricity could boost employment, attract investors and also reduce criminal activities in the state.
The Utility Consumers Rights Advocate, advised the Oyo state government under the administration of Governor Seyi Makinde to tap into the renewable energy from waste and solar, and partner with others in the electricity sector for adequate power supply.
‘Isejoba Rere’ which is a development agenda programme by JDPC, Ibadan with the support of Meserior, holds every Thursday on Pensioners FM from half past two to 3’ O’clock in the afternoon.
