The Chief Imam of Ibadanland, Sheikh Abdulganiy Agbotomokekere, has charged Muslim faithful to continue to be prayerful and restrain from sins after Ramadan.
Sheikh Agbotomokekere, gave the charge at the Agodi Eid prayer ground where Muslim faithful including Deputy-Governor of the state, Barrister Bayo Lawal, top government functionaries, dignitaries and Islamic leaders gathered for the Eid-el-fitr prayer.
Sheikh Agbotomokekere enjoined people to imbibe the virtues of love, peace, perseverance and pray for the development of the country.
Also, the Deputy Governor, Barrister Lawal, stressed the importance of living in peace and unity.
Similarly, political office holders in the country have been urged not to limit the distribution of palliatives to Muslims only during the celebration of EID-EL-FITR , but extend to others in need.
The Chief Imam of Awotanland in Ido local Govt Area of Oyo state, Adedotun Adesina said this in an interview at the Awotan Central Mosque after the observance of two rakats to mark this year’s EID-EL-FITR.

Imam Adesina added that the tenets of Islam observed during Ramadan should be sustained.
In a related development, the current insecurity and socio- economic challenges confronting Nigeria are signs that Nigerians must retrace their steps to Allah through genuine worship and obedience.
That was the take home of the Eid Fitri Sermon by the Chief Imam, New Airport Muslim Community, Alakia, Ibadan, Sheik Hadi Bello.
Sheik Bello enjoined the worshippers to make the teachings of love, forgiveness, total submission and giving in charity their code of conduct beyond Ramadan to enhance a peaceful society.
On his part, the Secretary New Airport Muslim Community, Alhadulilahi Muritala Olayiwola, while congratulating the entire Muslim Ummah on the successful completion of Ramadan 1445AH fasting exercise, called for more family cohesion and mutual friendship.
Alhaji Olayiwola also called on President Bola Tinubu to come up with more mass friendly policies that would address the present socio economic hardship confronting Nigerians.
Also, the Branch Missioner, Ansar-Ud- Deen, Agbowo, Ibadan, Imam Abudul-Fatai Yaaqub, and Branch Chairman, Alhaji Ismail Adegbola have enjoined Muslims to maintain cordial relationship with people irrespective of religions and tribes.
Imam Yaaqub and Alhaji Adegbola made the call after rakats prayers in celebration of Eid -el -Fitri.

The Islamic clerics urged Muslims to always fulfil the wishes of Almighty Allah in their daily lives and to be more patriotic.
Furthermore, the Circuit Missionary, Ahmaddiyya Muslim Jamat, Ibadan Circuit, Alhaji Mudasru Alaka and its General Secretary, Mr Tajudeen Ajao have urged Muslim faithful to be more patient and cut down their costs of living, especially at this period of economic challenges.
Alhaji Alaka and Mr Ajao who made this known shortly after Eid el fitri prayer at the circuit praying ground, Toll gate, Ibadan.
They reiterated the significance of Eid el Fitri to Muslims, which included the need to leave devoted lives after Ramadan by dwelling on its teachings.

Some worshippers also appreciated Allah for the opportunity to witness another Eid El Fitri despite the economic challenges.
Eid el Fitri celebration marks the end of Ramadan and the beginning of Shawwal in the Hijrah calendar.
