An Environmental Management and Protection Consultant, Mr Segun Afolabi, has called on the Oyo State government to embark on strict enforcement of waste management laws to end indiscriminate dumping of refuse in the state.
Mr Afolabi stated this while featuring on Pensioners’ FM’s weekly programme, “The Grey Hair” which profiles the past lives of the senior citizens.
Mr Afolabi also re-emphasized the importance of sensitization as a means of educating the residents of the state on proper waste management.
Mr Afolabi also advised the state government to ensure that environmental sanitation officers carry out their duties diligently.
