An Estate Surveyor, Idowu Olakanmi, has urged the government to review the Land Use Act to regulate rent.
Esv. Olakanmi made this known in an interview with Pensioners FM.
According to Esv. Olakanmi, reviewing the Act would provide Nigerians good housing, basic infrastructure and affordable rent.
Esv. Olakanmi also urged government to control prices of building materials or subsidise materials for builders.
Land Use Act is the Act that vests all Land in the territory of each State solely in the Governor of the State, who would hold such Land in trust for the people and would be responsible for allocation of land to individuals resident in the State and to organisations for residential, agriculture, commercial and other purposes
