Expert Urges Media Organisations to Invest in Staff Training

A former General Manager at Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria, FRCN, Premier FM, Ibadan, Alhaji Bashir Omotosho has attributed erosion of ethical standards, ownership and political influences as factors contributing to unprofessionalism in the media industry.

Alhaji Omotosho made this known while featuring on Pensioners FM programme “Grey Hair” which profiles the past lives of the elderly.

According to Alhaji Omotosho, some media establishments have failed in their duties of educating, informing and entertaining the public.

He therefore, urged media organisations to invest in training of their personnel and acquire more equipment.

Alhaji Omotosho appealed to media professionals against being used as tools by politicians.
