A retired Yoruba broadcaster at Broadcasting Corporation of Oyo State, BCOS, Alhaji Onaolapo Gbolagun says media organisations can prioritise financial interests without contaminating the media industry.
Alhaji Gbolagun made this known while featuring on Pensioners FM programme, “GreyHair” which profiles the past lives of the elderly.
According to the veteran broadcaster, in the pursuit of financial interests by media organisations, the code and ethics which guide the profession must not be neglected.
Alhaji Gbolagun also urged media practitioners to maintain credibility, both professionally and in their private lives.
The veteran Yoruba broadcaster further called for the preservation of the Yoruba culture and language for future generations.
