The Chief of Staff to Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke , Alh. Kazeem Akinleye has commended the grassroots economic empowerment programme by Hon. Ganiyu Tiamiyu, who is a commissioner in the Osun State Universal Basic Education Board, OSSUBEB.
Alh. Akinleye represented by Alh. AbdulMojeed Olagunju popularly known as “joba Jalabi” gave the commendation in Ede at the 2nd edition of the empowerment programme instituted by Hon. Tiamiyu.
Alh. Akinleye stated that the empowerment programme for the people drawn from Ologun-Agbaakin ward and other wards in Ede North Local Government Area include cash and other start up packs were to boost the beneficiaries mean of livelihood.
The sponsor, Hon Ganiyu Tiamiyu, stated that the effort was geared towards supporting the giant strides of the Governor Adeleke towards alleviating the suffering of people of Osun State. It was also to appreciate the trust of the Governor on him by his appointment.
He further noted that the effort was to solicit more support from party members in his ward as a strategy towards consolidating the party’s hold in the forthcoming election.
Also speaking at the programme, the Chairman, PDP Ẹdẹ North Local Government, Hon. Sikiru Olayiwola said that the empowerment programme of Hon.Tiamiyu was a challenge to other political office holders by sharing with others the grace bestowed upon them by the Governor with people in their community.
He used the opportunity to encourage party faithfuls to avail themselves of the voters’ registration exercise that is on going because their voter’s card is an instrumet to ensure the victory of Governor Adeleke in next year’s election.
In the same vein, majority leader in the Osun State House of Assembly and the Akogun of Edeland, Hon. Babajide Kofoworola encouraged all the beneficiaries to make judicious use of the support and pay back by voting enmasse for Governor Adeleke in the coming gubernatorial election.
The Executive Chairman, Ede North Local Government, Hon. Taiwo Amodu joined other party faithfuls in applauding the decision of the sponsor. He prayed for the success of Governor Adeleke in the election and more progress of Hon. Ganiyu Tiamiyu.
The empowerment programme was witnessed by top party members including Hon. Yunus, Hon. Sakariyau Oladapo, Councillor, Ologun Agbaakin ward, Hon. Sheriff Rauf, Mr. Bashir Oloyede, Mr. Moshood Adesokan,a party chieftain, Alh. Rauf Agbarabiada and PDP women representatives.
The programme also featured special prayers for the repose of the soul of 2 party members, Alh. Wahab Ayofe and Mr. Bashir Lawal AKA Alagbari who passed on recently.
