ICMA Harps on Importance of Mediators

President of the Institute of Certified Christian Mediators and Administrators, ICMA, Professor George Adegbolagun has re-emphasized the importance of community mediators.

The President of ICMA which is an affiliate of Kingdom University of America, made this known in Ibadan, during an investiture and conferment of awards.

According to Professor Adegbolagun, mediators can be used to solve differences and conflicts between individuals, groups, and organizations.

Speaking on the theme: “Facilitated Mediation and Proper Leadership Management, a Functional Partnership for National Cohesion and Development”, Professor Adegbolagun said community meditation offers participants the opportunity to discuss their concerns and needs.

Professor Adegbolagun also advised those present at the event to continue to propagate peace and quality leadership in society.

Two out of those conferred with Doctor of Philosophy (Honoris Causa), Seriki-Sudan of Ibadan land, Alhaji Abdulmumini Garuba and Pastor Ajayi Lawrence appreciated the institute for the recognition and promised to continue to serve humanity.

Alhaji Garuba and Pastor Lawrence lauded the effort of the Institute on Conflict Resolution in the country.

Among those present at the event was the Presenter of Pensioners’ FM’s security issue-based programme “Dingi Abo” Mrs. Oluwafunmilayo Yakubu.
