A retired principal, Alhaji Adisa Adeniji, has urged government to prioritise the welfare of teachers for an improved academic performance.
Alhaji Adeniji made this known while featuring on Pensioners FM programme, “Grey Hair,” which profiles the past lives of the elderly.
According to Alhaji Adeniji, the teaching profession is no longer respected and lacks motivation.
He noted that government can boost the morale of teachers through increased wages, loans and other forms of palliative.
