Enugu state Governor Dr. Peter Mbah in the company of Oyo state Governor, Seyi Makinde has inaugurated the newly constructed 12.5km dualised New-Garage through Elebu-kuola, Apata road now named Theophilus Akinyele way.
In an address before inaugurating the project, Governor Mbah who was the special guest commended Governor Makinde for always thinking about the people.
Governor Mbah emphasised that reliance on federal allocation for economic growth is not sustainable, urging State Governors to look inward for alternatives to finance state projects.
In his speech, Governor Seyi Makinde said he will keep working to make the lives of the people better.
Earlier in his welcome speech, Commissioner for Public Works and Transport, Professor Daud Sangodoyin disclosed that within the 8 months of Governor Makinde’s second term in office, he has already commissioned 76.25 km road projects, making a total of 220.62 km road projects executed since 2019.
Top government officials, traditional rulers and religious leaders graced the event.
