NEPWHAN Records Remarkable Achievements in Six Months

A non-governmental organisation (NGO), Network of People Living with HIV/AIDS (NEPWHAN) Oyo State Chapter, says it has recorded remarkable achievements in the last six months of 2023.

The State Programme Officer, NEPWHAN, Mr Seun Adebiyi disclosed this to newsmen in Ibadan.

Mr Adebiyi, highlighted NEPWHAN achievements to include resolving a long-term rift between Ilupeju-Bodija community, creation of a health committee in Alaada community to support the Primary Health Care Centre in the community and a medical outreach at Jaloke community.

Mr Adebiyi added that NEPWHAN also renovated Abanla Primary Health Care Centre.

On his part, the State Coordinator, Mr Faith Olawale noted that Oyo State is doing well among the 15 states of the country involved in the National Agency for the Control of AIDs NACA and Global Fund Resilient & Sustainable Systems for Health, GF/RSSH.

Mr Olawale also lauded various community-based organisations in Ido, Lagelu, Oluyole Local governments, Ibadan Southwest and Ibadan North local governments for the continuous sensitisation and awareness about HIV/AIDS.
