Oyo State Postal Manager, Nigerian Postal Service, NIPOST, Mrs. Cecilia Litan, has appealed to the state government to embark on proper and legible numbering of houses across the state.
Mrs. Litan made this known in an interview with Pensioners FM, in commemoration of this year’s World Post Day.
Mrs Litan said legible and proper numbering of houses would make delivery easier and faster for postmen.
She noted that lack of street naming is one major obstacle militating against smooth operation of the agency.
The manager also urged the state government to partner NIPOST to improve the revenue profile of the state, as postal service is a vital part of e-commerce and international trade.
