The Osun State House of Assembly, OSHA, says Osun State Revenue Administration and Tax Codification and Consolidation Amendment No. 1 Bill 2024 would increase and enhance Internally Generated Revenue, IGR of the state.
The mentioned bill which was sponsored by the Chairman of, the House Committee on Finance and Appropriation, Mr Olumide Fatunmise was read on the floor of the House, during the plenary held at The State House of Assembly Complex, Osogbo.
In his remarks, The Speaker of the House, Prince Adewale Egbedun enumerated the benefits of the bill saying it would necessitate the need for traders to display certificates of trade permits in the state.
Prince Egbedun stressed that the bill when passed into law, would expand the scope of the businesses in the state.
He urged the lawmakers to study the proposed bill in preparation for its Policy Thrust.
Also, the lawmakers dissolved into the Committee of Whole for further consideration of Osun State Fire Service Establishment Bill 2024 while all the amendments and corrections made formed part of the bill under consideration.
