Oyo Assembly Seeks Media Cooperation

The Oyo State 10th Assembly has stressed the need for a synergy between its members and the media.

The Chairman, House Committee on Information, Media, Public Affairs and ICT, Oyo House of Assembly, Honourable Waheed Akintayo, during a meeting with the accredited newsmen assigned to the assembly, said the development was aimed at charting a good course for the legislators and the media through quality reportage.

Honourable Akintayo who represents Oluyole constituency commended the efforts of the newsmen and their contribution to the progress and development of the assembly.

Also speaking, the Vice Chairman of the committee, Honourable Akintunde Olajide who represents Lagelu Constituency, thanked the correspondents for their cooperation and quality reportage and assured them that the leadership of the assembly would do everything to support them.

Speaking earlier, the Chairman of correspondents at the assembly, Mr Mosope Kehinde, assured the lawmakers of their cooperation.

Mr Kehinde appealed to the lawmakers to look into the request of the correspondents and also support them with working tools that would aid their reportorial activities.
