Oyo Govt. Inaugurates Ultra-Modern Bus Terminal

The former President of Nigeria, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo says Ibadan, the Oyo State capital deserves more infrastructural development, as the former western region of the country.

Chief Obasanjo said this while inaugurating the Ibadan Central Ultra-Modern Bus Terminal 1 and 2 at Iwo Road, in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital, as the special guest of honour of the event.

According to Chief Obasanjo, what the administration of Governor Seyi Makinde is doing in the state is done for the benefit of all Nigerians and should be appreciated.

Speaking earlier, the State Governor, Seyi Makinde said the project is one of the most symbolic projects of his administration, aimed at restoring the socio-economic dignity of the state.

Also, the state Commissioner for Public Works, Infrastructure and Transport, Hon. Abdulmojeed Mogbonjubola said the global standard Ultra-Modern Bus Terminal was built to reshape the transportation system of the state.

Hon. Mogbonjubola said the bus terminal comprises eateries, an open vehicle parking place, and walk way landscape with drainage system and called on all stakeholders to protect the amenities of the bus terminal.

 Present at the event were the Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Rashidi Ladoja as the royal father of the day, the deputy governor of the state, Barrister Bayo Lawal and other top government functionaries.
