Governor Seyi Makinde, has charged Nigerians to prioritise spiritual infrastructure over worldly benefits and religion differences.
Governor Makinde gave the charge at the inauguration of the re-built Adogba Mosque, Iwo-road, Ibadan.
The governor, who pledged that his government would be fair to all religions in the state, also appreciated the Muslims Ummah for standing by his administration.
Inaugurating the Mosque, the Sultan of Sokoto, Alhaji Muhammed Sa’ad Abubakar, the 3rd, charged Muslim Ummahs in the state to imbibe the spirit of maintenance culture and ensure the edifice maintains its fineness for decades.
The President-general of the Nigerian Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs, also sued for religion harmony and showered encomiums on Governor Makinde for fulfilling the promise made to rebuild the Mosque.
Earlier in his remarks, the Aare Musulumi of Yorubas land, Edo and Delta, Alhaji Daud Makanjoluola, charged other leaders to emulate Godvernor Makinde.
Facilities in the rebuilt Mosque, include an Islamic school.
