Oyo Govt. to Enforce Rule of Law

In ensuring rule of law, Oyo State Acting Governor, Barrister Bayo Lawal, has inaugurated a five-man governing board.

The board inaugurated at the Executive Chamber, Governor’s office, Secretariat, Agodi Ibadan, will be chaired by Justice Aderonke Aderemi, retired.

The acting Governor, who mandated the board to apprehend and enforce state laws against recalcitrant individuals, also charged them to collaborate Oyo State Mobilization Agency for Social Economic Development (OMASED) for effective delivery.

Speaking to newsmen, Chairperson, Oyo State Rule of Law Enforcement Authority, Justice Aderemi, who appealed for public cooperation, expressed readiness to enforce environmental and traffic laws.

Other members of the board include, Commissioner for Environment and Natural Resources, Abdulmojeed Mogbojunbola, Commissioner for Public Works and Transport, Professor Dahud Sangodoyin, Commissioner for Agriculture and Rural Development, Barrister Olasunkanmi Olaleye, and Chairman OYRTMA, Major Gen. Adesagba Adekoya (retired).

The Rule of Law Enforcement Authority Bill was signed into law 12th of April.
