Oyo Partners Ogun,Lagos to Light Up Lagos-Ibadan Expressway

Governor, Seyi Makinde, has expressed readiness of Oyo State Government to partner Lagos and Ogun State Governments to light up Lagos-Ibadan Expressway.

Governor Makinde made this known while hosting the Minister of Works, Mr David Umahi, who paid a courtesy visit to his office while inspecting on-going projects on the expressway.

Governor Makinde also revealed that his administration had fixed some federal roads that have viable economic importance to the state, adding that Ibadan-Iseyin road has been so useful for Agribusiness hubs across the zones of the state.

The Governor added that Oyo State was considering the dualisation of Ibadan-Abeokuta road from Iyaganku to Ogun State border, noting that reconstructed Oyo-Iseyin road would be commissioned soonest by former President Olusegun Obasanjo.

Reacting, the Minister of Works, Mr Umahi, said he was in the state to monitor and assess some federal road projects, saying that his assessment report would later be delivered to the Federal Government.

Mr Umahi lauded the major turnaround the state has witnessed under Governor Makinde led administration and sought for more cooperation in achieving success on federal government projects within its domain.
