A 67-year-old retired teacher, Mr Abel Atilola has been killed by some people whose identity have not been revealed.
Newsmen gathered that Atilola was killed near his farm along Irawo in Tede, ATISBO local government area of Oyo State.
It was learnt that the deceased was ambushed and subsequently killed on Monday.
Newsmen learnt that the deceased retired recently.
Sources narrated that the deceased had gone to his farm when he was ambushed by the assailants.
Our correspondent gathered that the incident had been reported to the police.
Public Relations Officer of Oyo State Police command, Olayinka Ayanlade, when contacted, confirmed the incident.
Ayanlade in a short message made available to report noted that investigation had commenced.
In a short message made available to Newsmen on Thursday, Ayanlade said, “investigation into his murder has commenced”.
