PROTAAN Set to Commence Free Vocational Training in Ibadan

Progressive Tradesmen and Artisan Association of Nigeria, PROTAAN, Oyo state chapter, has concluded plans to commence free vocational training and empowerment skills for youths in the state.

PROTAAN President, Mogaji Salaudeen Adeniyi, made this known while featuring on Abore, a Pensioners FM weekly leadership-stewardship programme.

Mogaji Adeniyi said this was part of PROTAAN efforts to encourage vocational training among youths for self employment.

He noted that all members of the 62 associations that make up PROTAAN have agreed to train interested youths, both male and female for free of charge.

Mogaji Adeniyi, who is also Vice President, Market Leader Advisory Council in Oyo state, further said PROTAAN has put together a world class exhibition of works and products by Africans and tradesmen, as part of activities to mark 2024 Artisans Day.

He said the event which will be held at the Recreation Centre, Sabo Ibadan tomorrow, at noon is expected to be attended by Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, Jagun Olubadan of Ibadan, Engineer Dotun Sanusi and the Aare Musulumi of Yorubaland, Edo and Delta States, Alhaji Daud Akinola.

Others are Babaloja in General of Oyo state, Alhaji Y.K Abass and the Iyaloja in General, Alhaja Sarata Agboyo. Chairman Organising Committee for 2024 Artisans Day in Oyo state, Pastor Barnabas Toriola accompanied Mogaji Adeniyi to the radio programme.
