Two Islamic scholars have emphasised that Sharia law is a divine ordinance
aimed at establishing discipline, justice and fairness in society.
The emphasis made by Haafiz Shamsudeen Ojo, the Coordinating
Missionary of Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama' t Monatan and Akinyele Circuits in Ibadan, and Murshid Naheem Mosadoluwaa, the National Secretary of the Religious Advisory Board of Ansar-UD-Deen Youth Association of Nigeria,
during an interview with Pensioners FM.
According to Haafiz Shamsudeen and Murshid Mosadoluwaa, Sharia law is not merely a legal system, but also a comprehensive moral and ethical
framework designed to promote peace, justice, and societal well-being.
The scholars highlighted that the principles of Sharia directly align with the teachings of the Holy Quran and the prophetic traditions of Prophet
Muhammad, which encourage justice, equality, and the protection of
individual rights.
Haafiz Shamsudeen and Murshid Mosadoluwaa also stressed that Sharia is essential for ensuring the protection of rights, responsibilities, and peaceful coexistence of all members of the society.
