A human rights activist, Dr Oluyemisi Adelani has called on government to show commitment to women empowerment.
Dr Adelani made the call while featuring on Pensioners FM Youth Development programme, “The Concept”
According to Dr. Adelani, equal opportunities, fair representation and conducive environment for women to thrive should be given topmost priority.
Dr Adelani said the rapid socio-economic development of growth of the country depends on active participation of women in governance.
Speaking further on Gender Based Violence, GBV, Dr Adelani said women were more prone to the menace.
Dr Adelani therefore called on government to ensure enforcement of various laws against Gender-based violence
