The Special Adviser to the President on Media and Public Communications, Mr. Sunday Dare, extends his deepest sympathies to the families of the victims, the Government and people of Oyo State, and indeed the entire nation, over the deeply painful and unconscionable attack on Baptist Nursery and Primary School, Yawota; Community Grammar School, Ahoro-Esinele; and L.A. Primary School, all located in Oriire Local Government Area of Oyo State.
The attack, which led to the abduction of students, teachers, and a school principal, has caused widespread concern and sorrow across the country. Mr. Dare described the incident as barbaric, unacceptable, and a direct assault on the peace, safety, and future of innocent Nigerian children.
He assured Nigerians that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has been fully briefed on the development and is personally monitoring the situation closely. According to him, the President has directed all relevant security and intelligence agencies to intensify ongoing rescue operations and ensure the safe return of all abducted victims.
“President Tinubu is on top of the situation. All hands are on deck to secure the release of the victims and bring the perpetrators of this heinous act to justice,” the statement said.
Mr. Dare further reiterated the commitment of the Tinubu administration to tackling insecurity across the country and safeguarding educational institutions from criminal attacks.
He urged citizens to remain calm, support security agencies with credible information, and avoid the spread of misinformation capable of undermining ongoing operations.
The Presidency stands in solidarity with the affected families and the Government of Oyo State at this difficult time and remains hopeful for the safe rescue of all victims.
