TAMPAN Academy, Ibadan, Holds First Convocation Ceremony for Pioneer Graduates

The Theatre Arts and Motion Pictures Practitioners of Nigeria ,TAMPAN, Academy, Ibadan, has held its maiden convocation ceremony for the first set of students.

The ceremony, held in Ibadan, brought together stakeholders in the theatre and motion picture industry, academia, and well-wishers.

In his address at the event, the Provost of the school, Dr. Oreofe Williams, described the convocation as a historic achievement for TAMPAN Academy. 

He noted that the academy was established to groom disciplined, creative, and professionally sound practitioners who will contribute positively to the growth of the Nigerian film and theatre industry. 

Dr. Williams charged the graduating students to uphold the values of excellence, integrity, and continuous learning as they advance in their careers.

Also speaking at the ceremony, the Chancellor of the academy, Otunba Bolaji Amusan, popularly known in the industry as Mr. Latin, congratulated the graduating students on the successful completion of their studies 

He urged them to be worthy ambassadors of TAMPAN Academy wherever they find themselves, at home or in diaspora.

Speaking on behalf of the graduating students in an interview with a Pensioners FM correspondent, Mimiola Balogun expressed gratitude to God for His mercy, the Board and management of TAMPAN Academy, as well as the lecturers for their commitment and mentorship.

She described the training as impactful and confidence-building, adding that the graduates are well-prepared to face industry challenges.

The convocation ceremony was graced by notable personalities in attendance, including a former TAMPAN Governor  in Oyo state and current Deputy National President of TAMPAN, Yeye Rose Odika, Actress Toyosi Adesanya, National Provost of TAMPAN Academy,Mr. Anthony Ara, TAMPAN Governor, Ogun State, Mr. Owolabi Ajasa, and veteran actor,Mr. Yemi Amodu.
