Muslim faithful should always live their lives in accordance with Allah’s directives as entrenched in the Holy Quran and Hadith of the Holy Propher Muhammed in administraing wills and inheritance.
An Iwo, Osun state born Islamic Cleric, Sheikh Bilaal Al – Asrau gave this advice while delivering a lecture at the Yoruba Community Central Mosque, Abobo, Abidjan, Cote d ivoire.
Taking a reference from Quran, Chapter 4 vs 10, Shiek Al – Asrau who described injustice that usually characterised distribution of inheritance as hypocrisy, said it attracts Allah’s punishment on the earth and hereafter.
He also highlighted different categories of rightful people who could take part the distribution of inheritance under the the Islamic law.
According to Sheik Al – Asrau, non Muslims can not inherit Muslims and vice versa while whoever has a hand in the death of the deceased should not be allowed to be of the inheritance.

He mentioned the father, mother, husband and wife, including childless wife, as well as the sons and daughters of the deceased as the prominent benefactors of inheritance.
The Doctor of Islamic Jurisprudence who however warned against cheating the orphan and the widow during inheritance distribution, emphased that only the knowledgeable people should be allowed to administer the properties without fear or favour.
While appreciating the Guest Lecturer,the Chief Imam of Yoruba Community Central Mosque, Abobo Abidjan, Sheikh Imran Adam Oke commended Dr. Bilaal AL Asrau for the depth of his lecture on Islamic Jurisprudence.

Some of the dignitaries at the event include, members of Yoruba Muslim communities in Abidjan, Islamic organizations, including the Chief Imam of Organisation of Ahlu Sunnah in Abidjan, Sheikh Misbaudeen Akinola Busaeri among other religious leaders.
On his part, the leader of the group, Sheikh Misbaudeen Akinola commended the facilitator of the programme, Alhaji Qomorudeen Abdul Azeez – Mojimorire, for his efforts in bringing the Islamic Scholar, Dr. Bilal Al – Array all the way from Nigeria to the French speaking country.
