Christian faithful have been advised to spread the gospel of God to their neighbors, through love and unity.
A Reverend at All Saint Anglican Church, Owode Estate, Apata, Ibadan, Theophilus Ogundele made this known at the church’s Picnic to celebrate Jesus Christ’s resurrection, held at NUT Oyo state Wing Model School Sports Complex, Owode, Apata, Ibadan.
Reverend Ogundele said the celebration of Easter exemplify the teachings of Jesus Christ, urging Christians to maintain the teachings.
Members of societies in the Church such as Christ’s Followers Society, Morning Star Society, Jesus Tofunmi Christian Society, Young Christian Progressive Unit and Fountain of Hope Society were present at the celebration.
Speaking on behalf of other societies, President of Christ’s Followers Society, Comrade Banjo Koleoso appreciated everyone for coming to mark the celebration of Jesus Christ’s resurrection.
Comrade Koleoso also called on Christian faithful to be a good ambassador of Jesus Christ.
Highlights of the event included games, society’s parade and race competition.
