Oyo Govt. to Rehabilitate Ado Hills Roads

The Oyo state government is set to rehabilitate roads leading to Ado Hills, at the Iyake International festival ground as part of tourism expansion in the state.

The State Commissioners for Culture and Tourism, Dr Wasiu Olatunbosun who stated this at the annual Iyake International Festival Day in Ado Awaye, Araromi, Iseyin, reiterated the importance of tourism in the state in attracting foreign tourists for the economy development .

He said Governor Seyi Makinde’s infrastructural development projects have added value to tourism expansion in the state.

Dr Olatunbosun added that Ado Awaye house the biggest suspended lake in the world.

On his part, Alado of Ado Awaye, Oba Ademola Folakanmi lauded the efforts of Oyo state government in tourism expansion and cultural propagation, describing the act as a good development, especially in terms of Internally Generated Revenue, IGR.

Oba Folakanmi further described Governor Makinde as lover of Oke Ogun people.

Highlight of the event include decoration of Omidan Iyake pageant winner, cultural and music performances.

Dignitaries present include Chairman Planning Committee of Iyake International festival, Mr Bolatito Olalere and management of National Museum unity.
