A Former Commissioner for Ondo State Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, Honourable Olaoye Olohungbogbo has urged Nigerians, especially the youth to return to farming, for food security.
Honourable Olohungbogbo made this known while featuring on “The Grey Hair ”, Pensioners’ FM programme which profiles the past life of the elderly.
According to the former Commissioner, access to quality and nutritious food is fundamental to human existence and this could only be achieved through agriculture.
Honourable Olohungbogbo noted that agriculture can improve the country’s economy, create jobs and reduce poverty.
Speaking further, Honourable Olohungbogbo also advised senior citizens to prioritise their health by eating healthily and engage in physical exercise.
The 80 year old senior citizen enjoined children not to neglect their old parents and treat them with utmost respect and priority.
