A Professor, Department of Arabic and Islamic Studies, University of Ibadan, Professor Abdul-Afis Oladosu, has called for the repositioning of Ansar-Ud-Deen Society of Nigeria, ADS, for the next 100 years.
Professor Oladosu, who was the guest speaker, stated this in Ibadan, at the ADS Centenary lecture and award ceremony.
Speaking on the theme” One Hundred Years of ADS Repositioning for Greater Impact on The Socio-Economic and Political Life of the Nation” Professor Oladosu, charged the association to look inward and come up with a new agenda that would make the society achieve successes.
Professor Oladosu who also called for a retreat program among the leaders of ADS to reposition the society, congratulated the association for the grant strive in the past 100 years in propagating the gospel of Islam.
In his remark, the ADS National President, Aare Abdur-Rafiu Sanni said the centenary celebration today was due to hard work of the founder leaders, describing it as a great achievement for the association.

Aare Sanni also enjoined ADS members to be dedicated, focused and committed to the course of Islam.
In their welcome address, ADS, Chairman and Secretary, Oyo State Council, Alhaji Hazeez Ladejo and Alhaji Teslim Adediran thanked Allah for allowing them to witness the celebration.
Highlights of the event include centenary award to Alhaji Abdul Wasiu Lawal, Alhaji Abdulwahab Muibi and Alhaja Nurat Okunade.

Others Present at the event include, Missioner ADS, Oyo State Council, Sheikh Bashir Eleshinmeta and a renowned Islamic cleric, Sheikh Muyideen Bello and Zone and Branch chairmen.
