Two Public Affairs Analysts, have kicked against the federal government’s plans to loan 1.5 billion dollars from the World Bank, for developmental projects.

The two public affairs analysts, Mr Kunle Olatunji and Mr Kayode Adejumo-Bello expressed this while featuring on Pensioners’ FM Current Affairs Programme, “Voice of Liberation.”

Mr. Olatunji said the government borrowing would not be an issue if the purpose of the loan would truly be carried out.

Mr Olatunji also noted that the positive impact of any government should be known within 6 months with or without loans.

On his part, Mr Adejumo-Bello said the loan would not be necessary if the government could cut down the cost of governance and focus more on developmental projects that could generate internally generated revenues.

Mr Olatunji and Mr Adejumo-Bello added that, if the government must borrow, it should go for repayable loans without milking the masses.
