The National President of the Ansar-Ud-Deen Society of Nigeria ADS, Prince Musediq Kazeem, SAN, has appealed to the Oyo State Government to support the allocation of land for the establishment of a comprehensive Islamic centre in the state.
Prince Kazeem made the appeal during a courtesy visit on Deputy Governor of Oyo State, Barrister Bayo Lawal, at the Secretariat in Ibadan, as part of his activity during a day visit to Oyo ADS council .
He explained that the proposed centre is envisioned as a multi-purpose facility that would serve as a hub for both Islamic and Western education, youth development and empowerment programmes, community engagement, conflict resolution, vocational training, and social services.
The ADS National President also appealed to Governor Seyi Makinde to assist in facilitating the issuance of the Certificate of Occupancy for the Summit University campus land in Kajola Local Government area of Oyo State.
Prince Kazeem further expressed appreciation to the ADS Oyo State Council for the warm reception accorded him, assuring members that his administration would continue to prioritise their welfare.
In response, the Deputy Governor, represented by the Secretary to the State Government, Professor Musibau Babatunde, commended the ADS National President for the visit.
He assured that the requests would be forwarded to the appropriate authorities, expressing confidence that Governor Seyi Makinde would give them due consideration.
Earlier, the Chairman of ADS, Oyo State Council, Alhaji Gbolagade Aminu, alongside the Secretary, Alhaji Mutiu Alade, described the visit as timely and impactful.
They also appreciated Prince Kazeem for his efforts in improving the welfare of members, particularly highlighting the donation of a generator.
Other activities during the visit included a courtesy call on the Chief Imam of Ibadanland, Imam Agba Abdul-Ganiyy Agbotomokekere, who was represented by the Mogaji Agba of Ibadanland, Alhaji Dr. Imam Waheed Rufai.
