Increasing the act of worship, charity and restraints from vices have been emphasised as virtues a true Muslim should embrace after Ramadan fast.
This was the high point of a lecture delivered by an Islamic Scholar, Sheik Ismail Showunmi, at the annual post ramadan get together organised by Ansar ud deen Youth Association of Nigeria, ADYAN, Ibadan Zone.
Delivering the lecture titled “After Ramadan; what next”, Sheik Showunmi enjoined Muslims, especially youths to be more dedicated to the propagation of Islamic tenets, embracing daily supplications and self discipline in bringing about a better society.
Addressing the gathering of youths, chairman, ADYAN, Oyo State Council, Mr. Nurain Akintoye, enjoined members of ADYAN to be more dedicated to the cause of the association towards attaining greater success.

Earlier in a welcome address, chairman, ADYAN, Ibadan Zone, Mr. Qazeem Jimoh, explained that the annual event was put together for members to appreciate Allah’s mercy for completing the 30 days fasting.
Highlights of the event include, lecture/motivational talk, games and spelling bee, as well as prayers for the association, Oyo state and the country.

Dignitaries that graced the event include some elders of the association, state and branches executives, and General Manager, Pensioners’ FM, Dr. Babatunde Tiamiyu.
