Aleshinloye Mourns Oyo Reps, Akinremi

A former Chairman, Association of Local Government of Nigeria, ALGON in Oyo State, Prince Ayodeji Abass-Aleshinloye has expressed shock and sadness over the sudden death of a caring friend and brother,member of the House of Representatives, Hon Akinremi Olaide popularly known as ‘Jagaban’.

The lawmaker who represented Ibadan North Federal Constituency , reportedly died on Wednesday, July 10 after a brief illness.

He was elected into the House of Representatives in 2019.

In a statement through his media office , Aleshinloye described the deceased as a committed, hardworking, patriotic and selfless lawmaker who served the nation and his constituents diligently.

“We lost a consummate politician at a time when his constituency, the honourable house and the nation needed his vital contributions the most,” Aleshinloye said.

He called on Akinremi’s family, friends, political associates and members of his constituency to ensure his legacies are sustained.

The former council boss prayed to God to grant the soul of Akinremi eternal rest and comfort his family, political associates, friends, and constituents he left behind.
