The Association of National Accountants of Nigeria, ANAN Oyo state 1 branch, today conferred an award of excellence on the Executive Secretary, Nigeria Union of Pensioners, Oyo state council, Comrade Olusegun Abatan.
The branch Secretary of the association, Alhaji Salawu Muftau made the presentation to Comrade Abatan at Pensioners house, Agbarigo, Onireke Ibadan.
Alhaji Muftau said ANAN found Comrade Abatan worthy, for his roles in the struggle for retirees’ welfare.
On his part, Comrade Abatan appreciated God and praised the association for the award.
Comrade Abatan, therefore advised the government to come up with a law that will protect and strengthen accountants against political interference to ensure an equity and accountable society.
Comrade Abatan, equally called on ANAN members to contribute their quota to the fight against corruption.
