A Chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and 2027 Oyo State gubernatorial aspirant,Barrister Akeem Agbaje,has congratulated Chief (Mrs.) Florence Ajimobi following her official posting as Nigeria’s Ambassador to Austria.
The appointment, approved by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, was announced as part of a wider deployment of 65 ambassadors to various foreign missions.
Mrs. Ajimobi, the matriarch of the Ajimobi family and former First Lady of Oyo State, was assigned to the strategic European post after earlier confirmation by the Nigerian Senate.
In a message of congratulations, Agbaje described the appointment as a “well-deserved recognition” of Mrs. Ajimobi’s long-standing dedication to public service, diplomacy, and national development, especially during her periods as the first Lady of Oyo State.
He noted that her new role as a representative of Nigeria abroad is a significant source of pride for the people of Oyo State.
“Your Excellency, this appointment is a testament to your years of dedication to service and your enduring commitment to the advancement of Nigeria,” Agbaje stated.
“Your calm strength, wisdom, and motherly guidance have continued to inspire many within and beyond Oyo State.”

Barrister Agbaje expressed absolute confidence that the new Ambassador-designate would bring honor to the nation. He emphasized that her experience and grace would be instrumental in strengthening bilateral relations between Nigeria and Austria.
The legal icon, economic development expert turned politician, however commended President Tinubu for his foresight in selecting capable personalities to represent Nigeria’s interests on the global stage. “I pray that Almighty God grants you sound health, wisdom, and success as you assume this important responsibility in the service of our nation,” the message concluded.
