AREHSPSOOS Condemns Oyo School Attack, Calls for Swift Rescue Mission

Retired Heads of Service and Permanent Secretaries of Oyo and Osun States, AREHSPSOOS, has called for intensified efforts in rescuing the victims of last Friday’s abduction at three schools in Oriire Local Government Area of Oyo State.

Chairman, AREHSPSOOS, Chief Adebisi Adesola made the call during the association’s general meeting held at Pensioners House, Agbarigo, Onireke, Ibadan, Oyo State.

Chief Adesola, while commiserating with the state government and the families of the abducted victims, condemned the inhumane act and urged government to find a lasting solution to insecurity in the country.

Chief Adesola, also prayed for robust health and prosperity for all members and thanked all members for their unwavering support towards the progress of the association.

Speaking on the topic ‘Longevity “a medical doctor, Dr Abiola Okesola, charged members of AREHSPSOOS not to live a sedentary lifestyle by always being on the move, sleep and eat as and when due.

Highlights of the meeting were updates from various committees set up to oversee projects embarked on by the association.

While giving an update on AREHSPSOOS’ Building Project, the Chairman of the Committee, Architect Dare Gbdegesin said pillars for the building foundation are ready and were made possible with the 20 million naira released by the association.

Also, the Chairman for AREHSPSOOS’ Day, Chief Bayo Oyero said the day will hold on 21st of August, at Ilaji Resort, with Medical outreach and sightseeing.

Other committees with updates were committees on AREHSPSOOS’ Book Project and AREHSPSOOS’ Website.
