The Baale of Ekotedo, Elder Taye Ayorinde has expressed satisfaction over the upgrading of some baales to the position of Obas in Ibadan, the Oyo State Capital.
Elder Ayorinde, made the feeling known while featuring on Pensioners’ FM Political programme, “The Searchlight”.

According to the Chairman of all baales in Ibadan, the upgrading which was made possible through the signing into law the amendment of the state’s Chiefs Law, Cap. 28, by the state government would make the activities of traditional rulers easier and for effective royal delivery.

Elder Ayorinde further called on the Olubadan Advisory Council and Governor Seyi Makinde not to focus solely on baales in the lesser city, but also baales in the main city for all round development of the state.
Recall that the Oyo State of Assembly had passed into law the amendment of the state’s Chiefs Law, Cap. 28, seeking to grant the governor autonomy to present beaded crowns and coronets to chiefs in the state.
