A Health Expert, Dr Olaniyi Oluwasegun, has recommended to the Oyo State government to provide one doctor, per Primary Healthcare Centres, PHCs, in the state.
Dr Oluwasegun made this known on’ Isejoba Rere’ a development agenda weekly programme of Justice, Development and Peace Commission, JDPC, Ibadan with the support of Meserior.
Dr Oluwasegun said the insufficient doctors in Primary Healthcare Centres across the State, has been a major challenge which has left some patients unattended to.
‘There is the need for the state government to employ more doctors to ensure one doctor per primary Healthcare Centres in the state’-Dr Oluwasegun stated.
He also called on the state government to provide more drugs for PHCs in the state so as to aide effective healthcare service delivery.
Isejoba Rere’ which is a development agenda programme sponsored by JDPC, Ibadan with the support of Meserior, holds every Thursday on Pensioners FM from half past two to 3’ O Clock in the afternoon.
